Abstract Central Java is one of the centers shallot production in Indonesia. The number anthropogenic activities area causes accumulation heavy metal contamination soil. This study aimed to determine content Cadmium (Cd) three regencies Java. was conducted Java: Pati, Demak, and Brebes Regency. Soil samples were taken by purposive sampling method. highest Cd found Regency at 3.53 mg kg -1 , lowest Pati with a value 1.10 . geoaccumulation index shows presence from activities. In Demak Recency contaminated moderate status, showed as serious. high severe status thought be due intensity cultivation increased use agrochemicals, fertilizers, pesticides.
